About this course
Building on the learnings from the highly popular Foundations of Project Leadership, this two-day workshop does a deep dive into the influencing strategies needed when leading performance in a project team and managing crucial conversations with stakeholders.
Project managers are often faced with unclear lines of reporting and authority with team members, yet still need to delegate, follow up and give feedback on performance tasks. Effective skills to delegate, provide operational feedback and to lead performance will ensure a smoother path to achieving the high-performance in project teams.
This workshop also develops skills to manage difficult conversations, to work with approaches to hot and cold conflict, and to use emotional intelligence to build (or rebuild) rapport to achieve better outcomes. Whatever project management methodology or project type, leadership is the crucial component to success.
Our 2 day workshop will give you the tools and knowledge to advance your communication and influencing skills for project and team success.
See the full agenda in our Influencing in Project Leadership course guide.
‘Influencing and performance leadership are challenging parts of any people manager’s role, but even more so for Project Managers. Project environments create a perfect storm of dotted reporting lines, situations of influencing without formal authority, potentially transient people, and pressing deadlines.
While you might have concerns about managing challenging conversations, it’s a key part of bringing projects in on time and on budget. This workshop will provide you with the skills needed to see immediate benefits.’
